  5. Joni-

Thank you for your design/blog brilliance! Always love seeing your next posting in my in box. Additionally, your posting about your father was so very poignant to me since I lost my father a year ago December.

    Happy holidays to you also.

  6. Joni, finding cote de Texas many years ago lead me to blog land. I cany thank you enough for all your hard work you put into each and everyone of your posts.
In addition, you have inspired me in designing my own home.
That all being said I was wondering if you would consider doing a post on the late Charles Faudree, as he was such a leader in French country design.
Thank you again for your blog, which is part of my daily reads. May 2014 be a good year to you and yours.
    Fondly,
    Cheryl

  16. You are the best teacher, period. I have learned so much from reading here. Better than a stack of design mags or any single design book I have read. I am hoping for more "Dear Miss Cote de Texas" in the new year. That or a new Nancy Meyers movie and set to dissect.
Wishing you the peace and joy of the season.

  19. Joni: I am so grateful for what you have taught me through reading your blog; it has not being only about decoration, but about maps, history, culture, traditions and so forth. I wish you Happy Holidays to you and your family; and a Merry Xmas to all other blogers who are Christians.

  20. I left my season's good wishes on the prior post, but just want to say again that I appreciate the time and effort you put into this blog. I cannot imagine the hours of research, writing, editing let alone the amount of time thinking of fresh ideas for your readers. I hope your success continues both as a blogger and as a designer. Much happiness to you and your loved ones for the new year.

  31. I wish I could put my gratitude into words on how much your blog has inspired and influenced the creation of my own, which led to amazing opportunities for a self-taught interior designer running, tumbling, laughing, crying her way through a growing and fulfilling business. Wishing you another year of good health and good fortune Miss Joni! Cheers! Jennifer xo

  32. It is we who must thank you! Who knew my inspiration for French design would come from Texas! There are only two blogs I read consistently, yours and one I found through yours! Here's wishing you and your loved ones a blessed and truly happy Christmas, Alexis

  33. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you, on behalf of so many of your " we're just regular folks " followers like me. We don't have blogs of our own, have no connections to the design industry, and are to some extent quite design-challenged. ;) But, we definitely appreciate beauty, humor, and easy to comprehend information presented in a down to earth, non pretentious manner. Your blog provides all this to us.
Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, here's to all the beautiful Holiday time spent with your friends and family, Joni! You and what you have created are appreciated more than you'll know.

  45. Well, it sounds like we all agree on your talent, inspiration, and hard work. I'd like to add another dimension which is implied by all the "I love you" msgs above - and that is that even through the cold distance of technology, the warmth of your personality and the generosity you pour out to us. I'm 70, live in two rooms in a highrise for senior citizens, and won't be painting, upholstering, etc. I read your blog because of who you are as a person, quite aside from your talent. I think we are all responding to that. Blessings, Jeany in Nashville
