This week on the Skirted Roundtable, Linda, Megan and I discuss bedrooms – what we like, how we design them, bedspreads vs. duvets, and we give out tips for budget ideas on headboards. Please join us at: http://skirtedroundtable.blogspot.com/2009/08/whose-bedroom-is-it.html
As always, your participation, your comments, your questions, and even your complaints are most appreciated. Keep them coming!
I could certainly feel right at home in the bedroom you've pictured here!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I will love this one. Bedroom decor is one of my favorite topics!!
ReplyDeleteI am really loving these podcasts, which I mostly listen to while walking on the treadmill. Haven't lost a pound but I am very enlightened on the subject of decoration...haha.

ReplyDeletejoni, i have loved your posts on small homes, being that i just purchased one myself.
i do have a question about rug size. is there a rule to follow like if your room is 20x20 then your rug should be a certain size and so forth?
Hi, I like that you maintain your quality of blogging - and yes, I am in the process of replacing my bed's headboard, from searching out charpoy legs, to trying to get the right shade of turquoise and now nearly there!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and find it educational, informative enjoyable. But I wanted to comment on your window about Nie Nie. Thank you for bringing attention to her. She is amazing and teaches us all what is important about life. Your support for her has really impressed me. Thanks! Dibwoman
ReplyDeleteMy bedroom is unfortunately that room y'all were talking about where unloved furniture comes to rest. I hereby vow to get it under control. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteJoni-You would love the bedroom I just did for my daughter's first apartment. I used the Italian Campaign Bed you are going to use with all French linens in beige and white checks and solids. So pretty. She has very high ceilings and it is so dramatic!
ReplyDeleteJoni- I love this topic and I'm so sad to tell you that I'm moving out of our home soon. My beloved bedroom will be missed.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite topics! I just entered a bedroom post on my blog.
ReplyDeleteListening to the Skirted Roundtable is my new favorite thing to do when I'm working by myself.
I have always longed for a four poster bed.
ReplyDeleteThere is something magical about their look and feel.

DON'T:
ReplyDeleteput 400 large sized pictures on one page.
It's painful for those of us with moderately slow internets.
The room design has a sense of royalty on it. It’s like a princess’s room.
ReplyDeleteThis room is gorgeous, I’m stun. I love the carpet and the walls it looks dashing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful room!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I'm now studying this photo and trying to figure out if this is a cornice I could actually make myself-lol.
On second thought-maybe not. Still love it.
Off to listen to the skirted roundtable.
Wow! That’s beautiful.
