COTE DE TEXAS: A NEW LUXURIOUS GIVEAWAY!!!

A NEW LUXURIOUS GIVEAWAY!!!

Today I want to welcome a new sponsor to Cote de Texas – SHED, THE ECLECTIC HOME.

Screenshot (55)

SHED has a large inventory of varied decorative items for the home – including furniture, accessories and textiles.

In celebration of our new partnership – SHED has graciously offered to host a giveaway!!

image

Here’s a small sampling of things that SHED carries that I really love – such as this set of dog prints that is so cute!

image

SHED has wonderful mirrors  - some small….

image

 and some large.

When I look at online catalogues – I like to have inspiration….

image

For instance, I love busts on consoles and tables – like this one in my entry hall.

image

Or this vignette by Darryl Carter.

image

And, SHED has busts, not concrete, but lightweight resin – in several different styles.  I love this particular one.

image

Letters in décor are trendy – and I really like this style - a gilt letter on painted black board.

image

I love a zebra rug – like the one in my family room, but real zebra can be bit a pricey.

Screenshot (50)

Kelly from the The Polished Pebble used a zebra stamped cowhide rug in this living room.  The cowhide is a great budget alternative to real zebra.

image

And here,  SHED sells the cowhide/zebra rug.

Screenshot (52)

If a zebra rug is too much OR not enough, try a bench.

Screenshot (51)

And here under a console table with lamps and a wonderful large antique map.

image

Shed, The Eclectic Home sells this beautiful bench.  Look for it on their web site.

image

Everyone’s favorite is Houstonian Sally Wheat’s living room with her two benches covered in Tibetan lamb.

image

Now is your chance to emulate Sally’s look - Shed’s benches come in several colors and sizes.

image

I love antique books – especially Vellum ones.  Rose Tarlow filled her bookcases with hundreds of antique vellum books. But they are pricey – oh my gosh – PRICEY!!!

image

When it came time to fill my shelves, I opted for reproduction vellum antique books.  But even those can be hard to find.

image

Again,  SHED has several colors of these wonderful books.  And very reasonable.

image

Miles Redd likes to use fur throws in his bedrooms – like in this fabulous green and blue room.

image

He used a fur in his own NYC bedroom.

image

This gorgeous fur throw is in Suzanne Rheinstein’s bedroom.  Can’t afford a real fur throw?  Who can?

image

Instead – SHED offers several faux mink throws, in different colors.

AND this is the giveaway!

Yes!

The winner of this contest will receive this wonderful faux fur white throw – for the end of your bed, or your sofa.  The faux white mink has a retail value of $179!!

AND – For all others, SHED is offering a 10% discount:

10% discount on first purchase through February 28  - Use the code word SHED at checkout

Here are the rules for entering the contest:

That’s it!

I finally settled on Acrylic bar stools for my kitchen, but I'll be ordering 6 of the Steel ones for my gameroom!! Perfect for my rowdy boys and all their friends! I also am considering the Zebra bench for my White Bedroom.. that white mink throw will look GORGEOUS in there! ;) The Acrylic Letters are so trendy... I'd love to put some in my kitchen or in my boys room. I am loving this acrylic trend. Adding just a tiny touch here and there among all of my antiques gives my house a little updated feel. One more thing to add to my shopping list would be the Mill Ladder. Perfect for my new butler's pantry. Have you seen it? I am on Instagram @ElevenGables . I can't tell you how many times I reference your blog and Joan's fortheloveofahouse to build my perfect kitchen/pantry. You gals are inspiring!! I am working on blogging about it now. One more thing, dear Joni, would you share the fabric source for your FABULOUS living room curtains? I ADORE them!! Thank you for inviting us into your gorgeous home! xo, Emily 11gables.blogspot.com 11gables@cox.net

  128. My very favorite products are the the bust of Apollo and the faux fur throws. They look so realistic! I think the white one would look great on my bed. It's a carved West Indies style bed in dark mahogany. BTW -- your blog is so wonderful. I love that you go into detail and show many, many photos. Keep them coming, please!

  146. I enjoy your blog, very tastefully done, but for some reason the Zebra rug bothered me. A beautiful wild animal beeing killed so some rich person can have a rug. It does not make sence to me, perhaps I am too old and sentimental. Anyway, faux Zebra rugs look great,
    Thank you

  147. Love the "LOVE" posters. I'm thinking about using one as a foundation to decoupage some of my saved items from my marriage. Such as tickets to a drive in movie, the brochure from our honeymoon b&b, our engagement photo and so on. Japerki@yahoo.com

  148. I found the most intriguing pieces were the 'chunky glass candlestick's. Just something about the design really drew me to them. I can just image all the different occassions I would use them. they would be great a Christmas fitting in the deocrations like reflecting icicles and spring or summer mixed with flowers like cool reflecting pools. Just love them !!

  152. Joni ~ omg.....SHED really does live up to its name....the Eclectic part....YUMMMMMMMMM! What an awesome site. All of your recommendations were perfect of course and then I saw that Zanzibar desk set in turquoise....WOW!!! And I don't even like snakeskin but yes, Easter Bunny or Santa or somebody can bring me that amazing desk set. And while they're loading the sleigh or whatever, I think I pretty much NEED to have the Montagne Chair ~ Have You Seen That Thing? WOW....just WOW!!!! So my favorite is a toss up between the two....Don't make me pick. I adore them both. Thank you for your great blog (miss you when it's a long time between posts) and also for the great giveaways.....Happy Friday! TJF
