I like the tip what to look for in terry towels.
ReplyDeleteHow to remove wrinkles without using an iron is the best tip ever! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI like the tip how to get wrinkles out of sheets without an iron. chedeb5353@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI loved the tip on how to get wrinkles out of linens. I just looked up and see that everyone likes that one! So I went back and found out that bamboo sheets are not environmental friendly, because they are actually a form or rayon that means chemicals were used to process it.
ReplyDeleteI read the tip on the difference in thread counts. cooperpringle@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI read how to put a comforter cover on a down duvet, The video makes it look so easy ...really helpful for something that I struggle with so much. Thanks for the chance for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI read up on how to make my bed like a five star hotel. Did it....and am STILL waiting for the dayum room service! Oh how desperately I need a set of lovely sheets! Find me at verodoula @ yahoo.com :)

ReplyDeleteWow! Who knew that a spray bottle of water would get wrinkles out. I have been dealing with wrinkles for years. This was a GREAT tip! saraavins@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteWatch the video on how he put his duvet inside the cover. I actually stopped using a duvet because I got sick of stuffing it. Perhaps that will make me go back to it. The sheets look wonderful. I've long been aware that thread count is not what it's all about, so it's nice to have a manufacturer that realizes true quality. Chiros1956 at yahoo dot com
ReplyDeleteI just watched the how to care for your linens video... Interesting information requiring "brighteners" in detergents.
ReplyDeleteThanks for offering another wonderful giveaway.

Now I know why my pillow shams look so sad! The video on "Different Types of Pillow Fillings" demonstrated the superior filling of a natural feather pillow. And Vero's price for a Euro feather pillow is the similar to what I paid for a polyester fill pillow. I'm going to use the discount to switch all my standard and Euro shams to feather pillows. Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tip was how to remove the wrinkles from my sheets with ironing. I don't iron...ever. But I do like the crisp look of ironed sheets.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tip was the one on Misc. Tips. It covered so many different topics. I found it very helpful.
ReplyDeleteFavorite tip - how to get out wrinkles without ironing! That is a tip I really needed since I am pretty sure I'll never ever take the time to iron even my pillowcases.

Oh how great to find out how to get wrinkles out of linens and also about the thread count. Great reads and wonderful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThe spray water bottle for wrinkles, and the washing of down pillows and comforter, both good tips for me!
ReplyDeletepangold101@aol.com

ReplyDeletetoetruck@cox.net
Nothing I love more than splendiferous sheets!

ReplyDeleteTaylor1584@aol.com
I love great linens and this is a fabulous give away! I read the tip on how to get wrinkles out WITHOUT ironing! cwrayatcoxdotnet.
ReplyDeleteGiven that I have all boys in my household and that it is a daily struggle to get any of them to make their beds, I instantly clicked on "A Man's Guide to Bedding." I was hopeful for some sort of magic words that could be said that would entice them to keep their beds tidy, but alas, no such luck. Such is life! :) Laurie lmpeck88@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteSleep naked and lose weight. WHAT A HOOT. However, on
ReplyDeletewonderful sheets it only seems reasonable to sleep naked to
fully appreciate high thread-count sheets!
all best, from Judy in Fort Worth
gjazaks@earthlink.net
I read the "Thread Count - what it means and doesn't mean" Tip and it was interesting. I can understand how quality of cotton is more important than thread count, though I'm still curious as to what makes good cotton, and whether the best cotton is only Egyptian, whatever that means. Like several others here, I also liked the wrinkles tip :) I wonder if it will work with dress shirts? I've often put tension on while hanging them to reduce wrinkles, I better try with water too!
ReplyDeletemasterwraith at gmail dot com
I read about how to get a pillow sham to look it's best on the bed by getting the flange to stand up straight. Good tip!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win a set of these wonderful textiles. Happy Holidays!
I read "how to get wrinkles out without ironing" I love freshly pressed sheets. I have a friend who left her home country of India to come to America; when she did she left her house maid who pressed her sheets. Haha, now I can do it without a maid.
ReplyDeleteaduff3@gmail.com
I read all the tips, because we are buying a new mattress set in the spring, so of course I will want everything new to go along with it. I jumped all over the 'Sleep Naked-Lose Weight' tip, because losing weight while sleeping? WIN-WIN! Really, many of the tips were really informative, and I downloaded the free e-book as well. Thanks for the giveaway and the information!
ReplyDeleteIt is very hard to choose my favorite tip because so many are helpful. My favorite is how to get the wrinkles out without an iron. I will try it next time I change the sheets. Great giveaway. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI read how to get wrinkles out of linens--great info...
ReplyDeleteI read about getting yellowed sheets to look white again--not that I have any yellowed ones! Awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI read several but especially liked the one about thread counts and also percale and sateen sheets. I am a 100% cotton percale girl all the way and they are very hard to find! Pamela pblapere@att.net
ReplyDeleteI read a few of the tips. I especially liked the washing and drying of a down comforter, the 'how to' of covering a comforter with a duvet and who would ever have thought of spritzing water to get rid of the wrinkles in sheets would do the trick. It would be so nice to win a set of soft sheets for my old bones. :) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI liked how to get your pillow sham flange to stand up. I hope I win!!!
ReplyDeletethe2seasons@yahoo.com
Learned a little more reading about how to understand the thread count; the thread counts and the length and quality of the cotton fiber are what matters. It's more than just the number. I love Egyptian Cotton. I have kitties, and if I buy cheaper sheets- they get little pinpricks and pills almost immediately. I also love the softness and thickness or the Vero sheets.
ReplyDeleteYou won't believe it. But I love to iron! So I was happy to read this: Ironing is the best way to get wrinkles out, not only do the bed linens look great but the ironing also makes the fabric feel better as the hot iron lays the nap of the fabric down, so, that it feels even nicer against your skin.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic giveaway, if I win I would choose the Olivia sheets. I spent quite a bit of time reading the tips. I enjoyed how to stuff your sham and am going to try and keep by duvet from slipping something I can't seem to stop even when I buy those clips from BB&B. Off to read more! Best of luck to everyone. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteThe video on How to Stuff a Duvet Cover had some really good tips that I never knew. It makes it so much easier if you do it properly.
ReplyDeletewinpooh46@gmail.com

I loved looking at the all the tips but think my favorite was "How to get wrinkles out without ironing. These linens look amazing. I also really enjoyed learning about the thread count and the differences in the cotton. So much great info.
ReplyDeleteOh I never win anything, but I guess it's worth another try! I absolutely LOVE the Righetta Stripe Sheets, and of course in white. I love our bed and bought new white "high count" sheets for the bed. However, when unwrapping them I noticed a wrinkle right in the middle of the top seam that shows when it's folded over the blanket or duvet. I assumed it would wash out or iron out, but 2 years later and many washings, ironings l later...it is still there! I hate the wrinkle. It drives me crazy and isn't worth looking at one more day! And I've tried the spray bottle technique in your How to tips, but this is a permanent wrinkle. Now, here's a great story. I lived in Memphis and worked for the largest cotton merchant in the world! Very dynamic man who knew everything about the cotton business and made a fortune growing, shipping, selling it to the mills, and trading it on the cotton exchange. He made history in the cotton business by making the first sale of cotton to mainland China. We had a "cotton room" in the back where tons of samples came in to be graded. I know there are many different grades and types of cotton...one of our best was out of Arizona....Pima and Supima cotton. However, I listened to Steve's video on "thread count" and NEVER knew that thread count meant very little as to the quality of sheets! I love this company and will bookmark it just in case I don't win the giveaway :( However, if I do, I would love a set of King sheets in white of any style they sell! Thanks Joni for a great Christmas holiday giveaway!!! judy_gurney@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI read the tip on how to make the perfect looking bed and liked it. I don't have any Euro shams but need to get some because I often read or watch tv in bed. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic giveaway! Vero's collection is lovely! I liked the tip about adding baking soda to the wash and not using most commercial washing detergent- great tips! Thanks for hosting this amazing giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI read the tip on getting wrinkles out without ironing. I never would have thought to put slightly damp linens on a bed. It seems counter-intuitive, but I may just give it a shot...
ReplyDeleteHi Joni, Like so many others, I especially liked the tip of how to get rid of wrinkles without ironing. This is a great give away. If I should be lucky enough to win, I would love a Queen set in cream color. mlsumrall@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteThey look like beautiful sheets and I would love to try them out. I love the question about the mattress doubling in weight over 10 years because of the accumulation of dust mites and dead skin. Lovely thought, but not true!
ReplyDeleteI don't have the patience or clean enough floors to iron sheets! I had to read about getting the wrinkles out and found it interesting to read about the facts on thread count. rebecca.king14@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks! Rebecca

Love the tip about how to get wrinkles out without ironing. My husband's family owned a drycleaning business and my husband has always slept on pressed sheets. I was spoiled as a newlywed as my in-laws graciously allowed me to FedEx a month's worth of sheets and they would send them back pressed and packaged. What a delight. They have since sold the business but I have not been able to give up this special treat. God forbid I now have to pay for this but well worth it!

ReplyDeleteUsing a mild detergent to wash your sheets. Need to change my detergent.
ReplyDeleteEducational....especially about thread count and fabrics. I'm now a better consumer.
ReplyDeletesbdittmer@mindspring.com
I love that Vero Linens has this info on their website! Why doesn't everybody do this?? When my kids were little I learned a lot about best laundry practices from the Hannah Andersen website. Who knew I was using too much detergent? I went straight to HOW TO Down Comforters & Pillows. Living in Brooklyn, NY I have a small stackable washer/dryer so I take my comforters to the laundromat but I did not know I should be adding a bit of bleach to kill dust mites (thank you for that!). Of course this was my favorite tip: Okay, now grab yourself a large glass of wine, let the washer do it’s thing and go make some new friends with some of the “regulars”.
ReplyDeleteI read about thread counts. As thread counts have risen from 200 into the thousands over the years I have wondered why I can't tell much difference. Most thread counts feel soft in the store probably because of fabric softeners applied by the manufacturers. Now I know the thread count is not that significant and the quality will be evident over time in the quality and durability of the cotton.
ReplyDeleteI liked the tip on how to get out yellowing of sheets using baking soda and white vinegar. Thanks to your sponsor for the info and the offer. jdwan@comcast.net

ReplyDeleteThe reminder to switch out the sheets at least once a week in the winter and twice a week in the summer is a great one - I like to keep 3 sets for each bed, just for this purpose: One one the bed, one in the wash, and one folded, ready and waiting. What a great company, and a generous giveaway!

ReplyDeleteGenius idea to keep your duvet from sliding! Why don't manufacturers do this to begin with? Love the products!

My favorite tip was "What to Look For In Terry Towels." It was the most concise and informative explanation I've read and I do know a thing or two about towels having purveyed many to stores like Waterworks last year. Thanks for this great source, Joni. I'll for certain buy from them. I'm a whore for fine bed linens. Oh, and I never knew about the first terry being made out of silk in France. I'd sure love to get my hands on a piece of that!
ReplyDeleteI bookmarked the website so I could go back and read all the tips, but for sure I will try the one about getting the wrinkles out of sheets without ironing. Love that one! What a great website, what a great discount, what a great giveaway. Many thanks. annmelamed@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteI have just moved into a new home and I need to replace my bed linens. I read Bedroom Decorating Mistakes. I love the the tip about how to get wrinkles out without ironing but by spraying water on the sheets. I also realized I overload my dryer when I dry my sheets.

ReplyDeleteI usually wash more than one set of sheets at once but no longer now that I know it's a problem! Thanks for alerting me to all these great linen tips. The sheets look absolutely luxurious and I would love to try some.
ReplyDeleteOhio I love the sheets! I took a look at how to get rid of wrinkles without ironing to see how close my method is to theirs and it's pretty much the same except I don't spritz after the sheets have been put on the bed so that's interesting. It would be so great to win something this week. It's been a really tough one. Totaled the car on Thursday, job cancelled on Friday, computer hard drive crashed on Saturday. But here's the thing, I'm OK, the guy I hit is OK, I have people who love me sometimes showing up for me, I live in a lovely apartment and I'm not homeless on the streets as so many others are these days. As for Christmas money, I'll just focus on other things this year. I've decided to go do some volunteer work somewhere, anywhere. So, sheets would be great, but I keep in mind that a bed would be great for a lot of people these days. Happy happy Christmas Joni. I hope it is lovely for you and your family.

ReplyDeleteI liked the tip, "Thread Count - What it Means (and doesn't mean) in Your Luxury Linens & Sheets". That cleared up a lot about why some sheets are more expensive by a lot, but have a much smaller thread count.

ReplyDeleteI loved the tips on why Egyptian Cotton linens are worth so much more than the ones you can buy at department and cheaper stores! Fine linen weaves are so much more comfortable and luxurious than these Imposters at stores like Walmart. I will not be falling for that again! Winkie@insightbb.com
ReplyDeleteI loved the tip about when to replace pillows. Yep. Pillows, linens & a fine bed make such a difference when it comes to your health.

I read about the thread count. I never considered that the luxurious feel of fine linens has more to do with the quality of the cotton instead of the actual thread count. Very informative! amthames@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteCotton duvet covers are easy to launder-- my favorite reason to have a duvet. It makes the whole room smell clean when the sheets and comforter/duvet are fresh.

I loved the tip on how to get the wrinkles out of your bed linen without ironing! I love the seductive feel of freshly laundered and ironed sheets after a cool shower on a hot summer's night! Would be thrilled if I could have a set of the queen size white diamante! Have a super day!
ReplyDeleteHi Joni, Thanks for another wonderful give-a-way! It was really interesting to read many of these tips -- What a great resource about sheets. I guess the most interesting tip, (to me) was about the benefits of sleeping naked. I've had intense chronic health issues for 13 years and since I've been ill I haven't been able to fall asleep if I'm wearing a night gown or pajamas, so it was interesting to read that one's cortisol levels drop if you sleep in the nude. I would love to own a king sized set of the Reghetta white striped sheets -- they look so beautiful! Thanks again!

ReplyDeleteI love the tip on how to get wrinkles out of sheets without ironing. I have actually ironed my sheets -there is nothing better than a CRISP clean bed. But it certainly is no fun and if there's a way to get it done quicker so I can have a crisp bed more often, I'm all over it! These sheets look amazing! I'd love to win a set!
ReplyDeleteI never knew the spray bottle trick for removing wrinkles! I found unused luxury Italian sheets at an estate sale many years ago - but alas - even though I worshiped them, even the best eventually thin out. I would love to win a set of Ivory replacements!!!! Excellent product and information! Thank-you for the guidance and for the opportunity to win Luxury!! Years ago, when I considered how much time we spend in bed during our lifetime, I decided to make my bed as comfortable as possible within my budgetI learned a lot on the How to Wash Down Pillows. In the past, I have used my front loader but will now take them to the laundromat to use the larger washers, dryers and spinners. It has been laborious for me to wash them at home. Now that I have read the reasoning behind using bleach, I will definitely begin doing that! I will also add wine to the process!! How to Wash instructed us to use warm or cold water instead of hot. I have always used hot water to sanitize but now realize that I need to scale the temperature back. The How to Make a Perfect Bed was my favorite because I've never seen a man make a bed like that!! Is he available to come and teach my husband? LOL! I followed his directions when I prepared my daughters bed when she arrived home from college this week -- she loved it! Since reading this a few days ago, I have thought about how much I would love being enveloped in this luxury at night and do appreciate the opportunity!! xoxoxo
