COTE DE TEXAS: A NEW PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT!!

A NEW PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Two of the best known names in Houston Antiques have joined forces!

The other day, I was driving down Bissonnet at Greenbriar and noticed that something was happening at one of the shops.

Hmmm, I thought…that’s interesting…

So, when I got an email about this new collaboration – it all made sense.

Announcing the newest addition to the Houston Antique Scene:

SKELTON and CULVER Antiques & Interiors

These two well-known Antique Shops have combined forces and are now located, together on Bissonnet at Greenbriar.

The former Skelton-St. John is partnering with the former Watkins-Culver and hence forth will be known as

“Skelton Culver”

Both Skelton and Culver have been instrumental in putting Houston on the map as a popular Antique Shopping Destination with their selection of fine, hand picked European items.

The former Watkins-Culver space has now undergone a complete transformation in anticipation of their grand opening celebration this

Wednesday, May 10th at 3pm to 7pm

Please join them at the official opening of their new partnership!!

The entry of Skelton Culver – French, Swedish and Italian antiques.

Fabulous dining or library table!!!  Love the white lamps!

A view of the large showroom at Skelton Culver.  I spy my favorite Paris Map Lamp Shades!!

This screen is great for a large room that needs a bit of definition in the space.  The chandeliers and lanterns, oh my!!

AND…

If you don’t live in Houston but want to shop at Skelton Culver – you are in luck.

Go to DECASO HERE to see all Skelton Culver’s inventory.

This mirror caught my eye – I love its lines,  so pretty.

I love silver for the table – to actually keep out and display like this!

A standing lamp acts as a focal point.

Really?  Really?   This is beyond gorgeous!!!!

But, this collection of biots says it all!

WOW!!!   If you have always wanted or needed (of course we all NEED one!) – two or three or more biots, Skelton Culver has quite the selection.

  1. Looks like they have some great stuff.
I went to the grand déballage yesterday at Pézenas, here in the south of France. You would have gone crazy with delight. So many beautiful things. It was packed, too.

    1. Hello, Cynthia! It's hand thrown pottery dating back to the 16th century I think, & still made today in an unusual process. My mother in law in La Mayenne, France, had 3 of them, originally used for olive oil back when & she also had a vase. They were quite large & beautiful. Do some research. Wish they were mine!

  3. I'm always excited to see antiques thriving. This looks like an amazing destination for some antiqe shopping. Antiques make every house a personal Haven, filled with pieces that tell the home owners own story. { that's my reason for selling antiques, anyway!} putting this shop on my "go to" list. Have a beautiful week, Joni!
