CHRISTMAS LIST, PART TWO: LISA’S’ LIST

Just like last year, my bestie Lisa helped me tremendously with the 2019 Christmas list.   She help me edit down the gift items and acted as a general sounding board.   Additionally, she helped me find new, smaller stores to shop at and sent me gift items she liked. 

But just as it happened last year, I didn’t put the items she picked on the list.  I didn’t even have room to put all my own ideas on the blog.

Just a little back history:   Lisa and I have been best friends since we first met when we were 15 years old –50 years ago!!   So we know each other about as well as any two people can know each other.  AND, if truth be told, we actually have very similar taste.  I told her that, like last year, I would probably do a second Christmas list – a Lisa list, to share her gifts because they really are great ones, too.

Lisa has been closely monitoring my list and informing me with hourly phone calls that items are selling out.  She kept informing me that this item on the list was sold out, or that item was sold out or this item has only sizes XXXS and XXXL left!!!

Friday, she checked the entire list and so many items are now sold out that I thought I should go ahead with the Lisa list as soon as possible, before everything on the internet is totally sold out.

Lisa is thrilled!!!

This one company makes it so easy to give while you are giving and doing it so stylishly too.

I used to blog more about ways to give.   There was a blogger in Baltimore, Meg, that we teamed up with at Christmas to give to the orphanage where she worked.  And y’all were all so generous. 

There was another charity, Donors Choose, that raised money for teachers - which you were very generous with, too.

I also try to raise something each year for Habitat for Horses which is a wonderful organization.

But I’m embarrassed and ashamed that I don’t point out more places to give to.  We have a great way to communicate with each other here – through the comments, Instagram and Facebook.   Why don’t we do more to spread the word about charities?
