COTE DE TEXAS: A NEW GIVEAWAY CONTEST ON COTE DE TEXAS

A NEW GIVEAWAY CONTEST ON COTE DE TEXAS

The Cote de Texas sponsor, Lewis and Sheron Textiles, in business since 1944, is one of the largest on-line fabric stores.  In addition, they also have a store in Atlanta where lucky throngs can shop in person for discounted fabrics, rugs, and other home décor items.

Their inventory is huge.  Here are some of their beautiful blue and white fabrics.  I spy a look alike Carlton V fabric, third from the top.  Don’t these make you want to go decorate a beach house?

Here is a selection of their brights that the younger set gravitates towards.  I really love the suzani prints here.

My age group tends to like these more muted tones of blues and creams and grays.  These would make a beautiful living room or bedroom.

Today, I had so much fun picking out a few fabrics I like from their “New Arrivals” collection.  I tried to coordinate them in sets of three.  Here are some of the favorites:

1104409_11104435_11104423

Grays and beiges together.

11044341103233_11106005

My niece Brooke and Riley

And, finally, you remember my tales of Riley, my nephew-dog HERE.   My nephew Jeffrey and his wife Brooke adopted Riley who just recently turned 7 months.  We were thrilled to welcome Riley into our extended family – he’s a look-alike Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to our daughter Elisabeth’s own dog Lucy.   When Jeff and Brooke traveled, we were so excited to keep Riley with us – most recently for over two weeks while they took a trip to celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary.   Because of this, we got to know Riley very well and came to love him as if he were our own.  Sadly, he got ill last weekend and never recovered.   We are all heartbroken.  So, today, if you have a cat or a dog or both, just hug them a little bit closer.

  150. I am a huge Lewis and Sheron fabrics fan and try to go as often I as I can. They have the friendliest, and most helpful staff! Not to mention the best prices and fabrics in town! This contest is perfect timing because I am moving to a new house in a month. I desperately need some fabric to recover some chairs and to make pillows! I would have a hard time choosing between the Carnival village blue natural, maxfield sand, towers village blue natural, and Paloma pewter. Can't go wrong either way! That's the great thing about the selection at Lewis and Sheron fabrics!

  151. I traveled from Charlotte to Atlanta to see for myself after the first time you introduced us to Lewis and Sheron Textiles. I bought several items and plan to have pillows made soon with fabrics I selected there! They were extremely helpful and had great ideas for me! Would love to use the $100 gift certificate toward that purchase of Pheasant Hunt fabric and a beautiful trim I found to match!

  162. I just went back and read your post about Riley and Lucy this morning; I couldn't remember the name of the product you mentioned... Nature's Miracle. I am so sad to read this news; my heart goes out to your family. Thanks to your blog, I have become a customer at Lewis & Sharon. When I upholstered my couch in a blue tweed fabric, I wanted pillows with blue and red. There was NO such fabric to be found in Nashville. I ordered Cascata from L&S and I am very pleased with the result. The fabric was backordered but L&S sent it as soon as it returned to stock. If I were to win the contest, I would buy some beautiful red and blue trim for a companion solid pillow.

  176. Our master bedroom is last on the decorating list in our new home. It's tucked away at the back of the house, and because it faces protected woodlands, window coverings just aren't a urgent necessity. I'm looking for a gray small-scale print to frame 3 large windows - a large fabric & workroom order, for sure! Maybe Pacific BO would fit the bill?
We lost our Chessie on Good Friday last year - it's a sad day when any family loses a pet. It's hard to find that unconditional love anywhere else.

  191. I am so sad to hear about Riley. I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Mr. Darcy, who has been my constant companion for nearly 11 years. During that time, he has suffered from many conditions that I now know to be common among this breed, including mitral valve disease and an ear disorder known as PSOM. Mr. Darcy has been deaf since about age five. I know many people who have lost their Cavaliers during the first two years to mitral valve disease, and many others whose Cavaliers died by age eight. Was that Riley's problem? The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club is trying to eradicate this condition by not breeding any dog before two years of age, or any dog with a parent that was diagnosed with heart disease before age five. I think they need to do more. It sounds as if Riley did not suffer long, and I am glad for that.
